Learning never ends. This applies to our education, our work as well as our private lives. By learning, you invest in your own future. You help maintain our society’s forward momentum and benefit your cognitive skills. The University of Zurich (UZH) is committed to promoting education through a variety of programs – from primary school to life after retirement.
Success at university is built on motivation and commitment. But financial resources also matter. For many, the decision to study hinges on whether or not they get financial support. In other words, a person’s decision to go to uni may also depend on whether they can afford to do so. This is why the University of Zurich awards around 180 scholarships to students every year to boost equal opportunities in education.
The University of Zurich relies on donations to ensure that scholarship funds will be available in the long term.
Why does war exist, and what digital footprint am I leaving behind with my phone? At the Children’s University of Zurich, kids in third to sixth primary school explore key questions of our society and develop their independent and critical thinking skills. They get to attend different lectures, workshops and excursion on a range of topics, free of charge and irrespective of their school grades. The only requirement is that they have a healthy dose of curiosity!
The Children’s University of Zurich is funded exclusively through private donations. You can help make sure that even more kids can explore the world of science and research.
Learning doesn’t end when you retire. With its Senior Citizens’ University (UZH3), the University of Zurich champions academic education for people in the third age. Its 2,000 members benefit from access to a wide range of lectures, workshops, excursions and sports courses. In addition, the myUZH3 platform lets senior citizens follow lectures remotely via a live stream.
Your support enables UZH3 to continue to develop its online project and invest in its offering.
